Paris Fashion Week just ended and we’ve been on the edge of our seats in anticipation for the jewelry looks that are going to be the must-haves of the 2013/2014 autumn and winter season.
We’ve really fallen for this fantastically whimsical and messy bracelet from Saint Laurent. An awesome way to make use of left-over beads and other materials to and make your own stylish bracelet for fall/winter.
Metal was all over the runway. Especially in large statement pieces.
Large statement earrings are clearly still in vogue as seen from Balmain, above.
Chanel upped the ante with large multi-teired chain necklaces.
But we fell in love with these stackable chain and felt bracelets that exude both cozy warmth as well as an edge. Can’t wait to try my hand at making a few myself!
Statement rings are still in for the upcoming season, with at least three per hand considered de rigueur.
Woven leather cord bracelets from Hermes continue the Bohemian trend.
More hardware from Jean Paul Gaultier. We really liked the metallic “sewn together” bib necklace. Were not sure how we felt about the collar.
Statement necklaces from Lanvin were cute, but we were scratching our heads at the be-pearled red heart pendant. A little much?
All in all, it’s clear that metal is going to be big for this fall and winter season. Large statement jewelry, big rings, and lots and lots of chain are going to be the looks.
We’ll be heading back to the lab shortly to experiment with making some similar designs and will post some tutorials so you can grab them too!
